The existence of this prop was first brought to my attention by Rob Durham of Dreamland Replicas, who says "The prop was originally fan-produced, then HMS got a hold of it and submitted it along with the Mark X tricorder and Phaser-rang for Star Trek: First Contact, it was rejected due to its size." Kevin Jones has also acquired a casting of the prop, and has provided some of the images below. |
